Swale Watchers invites you to the first Prairie Colours art event at the Northeast Swale on Sunday September 13! Throughout the afternoon we will have dancers, poets, visual art installations, tours and learning about swales with CPAWS-Saskatchewan, and a craft you can add to the trail or take home to celebrate the Swales.

We would also love to show YOUR art along the trails. Let us know what you have in mind and we will be in touch to coordinate installation! We will contact artists closer to the date to coordinate installation and removal from the site; artists are not expected to be available to install/remove on the date but may do so if preferred.

– Art inspired by prairies, marshes and swales encouraged but not required
– Any format that can be installed along the swale pathways
– Weather-resistance encouraged
– Art may be priced for sale – we would direct them directly to the artist to purchase
– Artists name, website, and/or contact information to be displayed
Art may be installed for just the afternoon of Sept. 13, during which time it would be fully supervised by our volunteers. We would love to have some pieces on the site for the remainder of the week to encourage people to enjoy and explore, however we would not have any supervision during this time.
